Absolutely brilliant place where our eldest daughter thrived. Such a lovely team and a warm, caring environment for our little one who started in the baby room and moved right through to pre-school.

Staff put children at the heart of the decisions made and provide regular feedback to parents on their child’s progress including: pick up and drop off chats, parents evenings, parent committee forums as well as ad-hoc 121 meetings where required and as often as needed. Communication, I must say, has been the biggest area of improvement I noticed over the years my daughter was there.

They also offer a huge range of extra curricular activities (additional cost) such as yoga, dance, music and drama, as well as getting in trips organised (included in fees) and visitors regularly head over there: fire crews, dentist, zoo keepers and sport coaches to teach children about the world around them.

They host many parent events including sports days, summer fairs, Christmas nativities and carols, as well as other cultural events such as BHM where children had a chance to taste cuisines from around the world and music from other cultures and countries.

Overall, as you can tell, I absolutely loved this nursery and the team that run it. We had to leave as we moved out of the area but I definitely would recommend to anyone who was in the area.

We have sent out child there for just over a year. The staff are all lovely and he is v. happy there, sometimes running into their arms (drop offs are always hard regardless though!).

They do lots of great activities, have pets which the kids love and try to involve parents. It is a locally run business and so sometimes things can be a bit ad hoc and frustrating (not enough room for buggies, busy at pick-up / drop-off) but the staff are friendly and our boy is happy, so we are very happy parents and would highly recommend. Compared with other parents we speak to, this nursery comes out on top.

We have loved our time at Pitta Patta and have really appreciated the excellent staff, care, fun activities and huge garden. Our child has thrived here and we have made some very happy memories of the nursery stage here 

I love this nursery; I have since our tour in April 2022. My son started in September ‘22 at two years old and was settled in so considerately into their toddler room ( 3 rooms for the whole nursery and separate, large outdoor spaces for each age group). They’re slightly more expensive than community nurseries but they’re open all year (yay) and their rooms, staff (kind, fun and gentle), equipment and extra curricular activities reflect this. We now get the funded hours for 3 year olds, so top up each month for the hours and meals which are not covered by Lewisham (all nurseries accepting funded hours do this, as the funding is time limited and application specific)
They use a nanny-cam, initially I wasn’t keen on the idea of one, but it’s actually a really effective way of checking in (which I do occasionally if my son has had a bad morning or night) without having to call or email in. We get verbal updates (food eaten, activities) at the end of each day and a few minutes with their room staff if we have any questions too which is helpful (even for planning dinner). The keyworkers update a basic online diary daily and parents can journal or message there too. The nursery have pets in the garden, a babysitting service, a couple of parent focused get togethers each year, and an amazing SENDCO.
I’ve had personal experience of two other good nurseries and this one is miles better than those. Even in discussions with friends about their nursery experiences, ours always impresses them!
I wish their website could be updated to reference all their services and spaces as they’re really extraordinary in Lewisham.

I was blown away with the layout of the setting and the facilities offered to the children. Beautiful space, especially the outdoor learning and management are very pleasant to work with.

They were so good with him and gave him the reassurance he needed whilst gaining confidence to explore his new surroundings; but a special thanks is for xxxx, who our son clearly loves! She has been truly amazing with him; he’s always so happy to see her; he runs up to her for a big cuddle. It’s so beautiful to see. Every time we collect him he has a huge smile on his face so we always know he’s had a wonderful day.”

I just wanted feedback how happy I’ve been with how our daughter has settled into Koalas, and I am sure that is down to the love and care that xxxx and xxxx give her. They are both so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable and we are really confident that we are leaving our daughter – a very precious thing! – in the most brilliantly capable hands

Our son has settled in extremely well and we know that this can be largely attributed to the lovely staff you have in the Pandas Room – in particular, xxxxx. She has provided us with lovely accounts about what he’s been up to on his days at nursery and reassured us that we have made the right decision for him to join our daughter at Pitta Patta.  He is clearly very stimulated during his day as he comes home babbling away and he is shattered by bedtime!
