Milk and Baby Weaning Tips

Introducing Solid Foods (Weaning)

Babies are usually ready to start trying solid foods at around 6 months old, alongside breast milk or formula. Signs of readiness include sitting up, holding their head steady, and showing interest in food. Early weaning isn’t necessary before 6 months unless advised by a health professional. Start with simple, soft foods like mashed vegetables or fruit, and gradually introduce a variety of tastes and textures. It’s important to offer a mix of nutrients and continue milk feeds throughout the first year.
